Grid(a) Temporali is an exhibition built out of two incomplete datasets: shipwreck records from the Great Lakes and decades of wolf-and-moose population data from Isle Royale. This part of the project treats Research through Design as a way to sit with uncertainty and silence in historical records rather than resolve them.

Working with these datasets, I built hybrid datasets that layer archival material with speculative, AI-generated images and text, not to recover what's missing or speak for the communities left out of the record but to make visible how and why those absences exist in the first place. The exhibition exhibits these datasets in two forms. First, large format prints that explore multiple, non-linear temporalities. These maps blur the line between archival and generated data on purpose, so a viewer can't easily tell which is which, turning uncertainty and doubt into something felt rather than just described. And secondly, as zines and books that re-assemble the same data for a different viewing experience, still non-linear, but with a different relationship with each piece of data.
